On Saturday, May 6th, 2023, eight people were tragically killed, and another seven were wounded while shopping at the Allen Premium Outlets, 2 miles from my home in Allen, Texas. The victims included children, including a boy as young as 3 and a 6 year old, the only surviving member of this family. All the violence and mass shootings are exhausting to see every day, numbing almost, but this one hit me differently, being so close to home.

 

Communities Foundation Of Texas has established the Support for Allen Fund to collect funds that provide support for those who have been impacted by this senseless tragedy. I have checked that all personal GoFundMe needs have been met.

 

13 Emeralds will be donating 50% of profits for the month of May to CFT to help the families of the victims with medical and funeral expenses, as well as grief and trauma counseling.
